Assistant Construction Project Manager
Rochester, MN | Direct Hire | $84k-$110k

Konik is partnered with a growing commercial construction company who is adding at Project Manager to lead all phases of commercial construction projects, from pre-construction through closeout to their team. The jobsites are located in Rochester, MN. 

Assistant Construction Project Manager Responsibilities:

• Support the Project Manager in coordinating all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through close-out.
• Assist in developing and maintaining construction schedules in collaboration with project and field teams.
• Help manage and track project documentation such as RFIs, submittals, change orders, and close-out materials.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure scope alignment, timely procurement, and contract compliance.
• Monitor and update budget tracking tools; assist with reporting on project costs, forecasts, and cash flow.
• Participate in internal and external project meetings; ensure clear communication across all stakeholders.
• Promote jobsite safety, quality control, and compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.

Assistant Construction Project Manager Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field with 2–4 years of experience supporting commercial construction projects; or equivalent field experience.
• Familiarity with construction scheduling, budgeting, and project management platforms (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam).
• Understanding of construction contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change order workflows.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred; OSHA 30 a plus or willingness to obtain.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites.
