We are recruiting for a Senior Level Controller/CFO for a well-established single-family office in Newport Beach, California. The candidate should have extensive family office experience and be adept at delivering a wide range of services to the Principal and their family.
Responsibilities: This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual who takes full ownership and responsibility as if managing their own business. You will report directly to the Principal and be responsible for their personal and professional activities, oversee finance, accounting, tax functions, HR, and other aspects of the office.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate various aspects for the Principal related to family, finances, health, education, and more.
Manage daily financial operations for the family office and its related entities.
Provide financial analyses, projections, modeling, and ad hoc reports for planning initiatives and investment evaluations.
Oversee the management of real estate and private assets.
Supervise external tax advisors and manage tax returns for a complex portfolio of entities.
Maintain and manage relationships with external service providers.
Oversee cash management, investments, and collaborate with external experts like real estate counsel.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years leading a team within a family office environment.
8-10 years of experience in financial management, accounting, and tax services for individuals, trusts, foundations, and investment entities.
Bachelor’s degree in business (accounting/finance) is required; CPA and/or advanced degree (MBA) preferred.
Deep understanding of tax and investment partnership accounting.
Strong software and analytical skills, with QuickBooks experience required.
Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $300,000.00 - $350,000.00 per year. There is no bonus included in the compensation package.
