Job Description

Manager - Pricing Forecasting Analytics plays a critical role in forecasting the sales and margin performance across the Merchandising organization in order to enable proper inventory allocation and availability to support optimal outcomes relative to optimized promotions and cadence.

This highly visible individual will orchestrate and manage forecasts for weekly category promotions in partnership with Pricing Data Science, Category Management, and Merchandise Planning.

**Please note - this role observes a hybrid work schedule based in Irving, Texas. **

Hiring Requirements

• Manage forecasting across divisions in collaboration with Optimization teammates, providing accurate estimates for Departments under your purview.
• Operationalize the forecast in collaboration with outputs co-authored by the Pricing Data Science team and the ML system.
• Work with cross-functional partners in Planning, Supply Chain, and Marketing to identify opportunities for improvements to the Price Forecasting data and process.
• Quantify the accuracy of the Forecast in comparison to Merchandise Financial Plan (MFP) to define problem areas.
• Identify forecast errors, as well as the nature and/or bias of said errors, to convey to the Pricing Data Science for modeling improvements.
• Foster regular engagement with Optimization partners to identify both qualitative and unknown data points into consideration of forecasting processes and results.
• Establish best practices and maintain process documentation/task flows in support of Price Forecasting Analysts.
• Influence decisions and drive change in operating processes with a focus on driving positive financial results.
• Take on ownership for areas of pricing that cross divisional boundaries (e.g., channel differences, country differences) as directed by the supervisor.
• Take on roles in cross-functional projects or reporting as identified by the supervisor.

Minimum Education

• Bachelor’s Degree Required

Minimal Special Certifications or Technical Skills

• Advanced MS Excel Required.

Minimum Type of Experience the Job Requires

• 3 or more years of relevant business experience; Retail and/or Pricing experience Preferred.

Preferred Education

• MBA Preferred.

Preferred Special Certifications or Technical Skills

• Superior understanding of Retail Finance, Pricing Analytics, and Retail Operations.
