What To Expect
The New Product Introduction (NPI) Technician will report to the NPI Supervisor and will be responsible for performing NPI Builds, line trials and maintaining the NPI area. This person is expected to be able to execute against provided manufacturing instructions (if available), validate their own work, check the quality of previous operations, mentor production associates, lead builds in defined area, and meet schedules. The NPI Technician is expected to be able to provide feedback, define standard work, and suggest process improvements. Experience with hand tools and use of semi-automated manufacturing equipment is necessary.

Perform complex and precise electro-mechanical assembly work and be able to work independently once a task is assigned, make connections with other employees, works fluidly with the team to achieve great resultsTypically involves a variety of operations, including troubleshooting and rework, requiring a sufficient understanding of the functional operation of the items assembled as well as the finished productMust be able to work from complex and detailed manufacturing documentation, drawings, and/or verbal and written instructions and specialized fixtures/test equipmentHave a quick and flexible approach to problem solving, task juggling, and collaborationResponsible for quality activities, including self-inspection, and inspectionUpdates production records and test results, records process improvements, and manufacturability suggestionComplete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules and within standard times and maintain a clean and orderly work area

What You'll Bring

Previous experience leading/mentoring indirect reporting crews of 5 or moreBasic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systemsAbility to read and understand manufacturing instructions and mechanical drawings with basic understanding of electrical systemsMust have a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail, married with the ability to work quicklyMust be reliable, have good initiative, committed, and quality focused and have the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritiesBe comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously, with ability to interact with multiple teamsFluent in MS Office Suite
