What You'll Do: Answer Emergency Calls:Handle 9-1-1 calls and radio communications for both Police and Fire departments with precision and care. Coordinate Responses:Collect and evaluate information to determine jurisdiction, equipment, and personnel to dispatch; provide critical information and support. Utilize Technology:Use a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system to manage Calls For Services (CFS) and public inquiries. Provide support:Offer calm reassurance to callers in distress. Who We Need: Clear Communicator:Articulate and efficient in relaying information. Quick Thinker:Make fast, accurate decisions in emergency scenarios. Open Availability:Must be willing to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary to have operations 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Requirements: Strong communication skills. Ability to stay calm under pressure & maintain composure in high-stress situations. A High School diploma or GED equivalent. One (1) year of experience ofworking with the public.
