Archer Meat Snacks—the fastest-growing jerky brand in the Natural and Specialty Channel—is hiring a Sanitation Manager to lead our sanitation operations at our Vernon, CA facility.

This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll oversee sanitation performance, strategy, compliance, and team development across multiple shifts. You'll partner closely with cross-functional teams, the FSQA Director, and external stakeholders to drive world-class sanitation standards that directly support our commitment to safe, high-quality products and continued growth. We're seeking a results-oriented, collaborative leader who brings deep technical expertise, thrives in fast-paced environments, and leads from the floor with a passion for team development and continuous improvement.

What You'll Own & Impact:

• Lead, mentor, and develop sanitation supervisors and frontline teams across all shifts
• Oversee execution and improvement of SSOPs, Master Sanitation Schedules, and sanitation KPIs
• Ensure compliance with USDA/FDA regulations, GFSI schemes (SQF/BRC), and customer standards
• Serve as site SME on sanitation best practices, chemical usage, safety, and hygienic design
• Lead sanitation readiness for audits, pre-ops, ATP testing, and environmental monitoring
• Drive root cause analysis (RCA), CAPAs, and data-driven continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage sanitation budgeting, vendor partnerships, and training programs
• Champion a strong safety-first culture and promote team accountability in sanitation performance

What Sets You Apart:

• 5+ years of progressive sanitation leadership experience in USDA and/or FDA-regulated food facilities
• Proven success in leading high-performing sanitation teams and driving KPI results
• Strong working knowledge of SSOPs, MSS, food safety programs, and sanitation verification
• Expertise in GFSI-based programs (SQF/BRC), Organic, Gluten Free, and customer standards
• Skilled in CI methodologies (Kaizen, 5S, DMAIC, PDCA) and problem-solving tools (5-Why, Fishbone, SPC)
• Experienced with budget oversight, cross-functional project management, and audit preparation
• Effective communicator with excellent documentation and training capabilities
• Advanced computer skills (ERP systems, MS Office, digital compliance tools)
• High personal integrity, attention to detail, and a hands-on servant leadership style

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• Current HACCP, PCQI, or FSMA certifications
• Experience with sanitation chemical vendors, hygienic design, and production changeovers
• Bilingual (Spanish-English) a plus!

Location & Schedule:

This is a full-time, on-site leadership role located in Vernon, CA, covering night shift operations. Availability to work weekends, holidays, or extended hours as needed is essential.
