Strategic Advisor – DER Optimization & VPP Enablement
Molecule Systems is seeking seasoned energy industry leaders to join us as strategic advisors during a pivotal period of growth. Our platform bridges the critical gap between distributed energy resource (DER) control and scalable participation in energy markets. As we move toward commercial expansion, we’re inviting advisors who can help us sharpen our go-to-market strategy by drawing on their lived experience and trusted industry relationships.
If you’ve built or scaled clean energy programs, worked with DER OEMs, or driven utility and aggregator partnerships or products, we’d value your perspective and your help in shaping the real-world engagements that will define our next phase.
What We’re Looking For
We’re especially interested in advisors who can help us strategically validate and accelerate market traction , not just in theory, but through active engagement and curated introductions with companies positioned to benefit from Molecule’s solution.
✔ OEM & System Integrator Insight
Battery storage system providers (C&I and residential), EVSE manufacturers, EV OEMs (including V2G/V2X), inverter companies, generator companies, and thermal load system vendors. We’re looking to confirm fit and co-develop pathways to commercial deployment.
✔ Utility, Aggregator & CCA Experience
Professionals with deep ties to CCAs, municipal utilities, load-serving entities, and DR aggregators, especially those exploring DER integration, flexible load programs, or VPP strategies.
While strategic insight is always welcome, our near-term focus is actionable engagement. By working together to explore partnerships and early pilots, we can shape how Molecule delivers value at scale.
Why Molecule?
Molecule fills a critical and often overlooked gap in the DER ecosystem: we sit between OEM devices and DERMS or VPP platforms, acting as the orchestration layer that makes behind-the-meter flexibility actually work.
Think of us as the digital glue, standardizing how devices communicate and respond to grid signals. Instead of OEMs building separate integrations with every utility program or aggregator, they integrate once with Molecule. On the other end, DERMS platforms and VPP providers dispatch using a single signal, and Molecule manages the orchestration of all behind-the-meter DERs based on user-defined set points, priorities, and constraints.
By abstracting control complexity, we accelerate integration timelines, improve reliability, and unlock deeper value from each device, whether it’s a battery, EV charger, thermostat, or water heater.

What’s Ahead
Over the next 4–6 months, Molecule is focused on validating our platform through targeted pilots and initial deployments, both with OEMs and DER aggregators/utilities. This is a critical phase ahead of our Seed round in Q4 2025, and your leadership and network can play a decisive role in shaping how quickly and effectively we scale.
